The quick-to-judge crowd have a bone to pick with you. They honk their horns, flick their fingers, and tweet their tales. The proverb (26:4) says, “Don’t respond to the stupidity of a fool; you’ll only look foolish yourself.” Don’t fear their attacks. Wisdom knows Who is the real Judge. Wait patiently for Him, because He’s slow to anger and quick to forgive. He’s just. By doing so, you make room for real growth.
“I hope you don’t think that all along we’ve been making our defense before you, the jury. You’re not the jury; God is the jury—God revealed in Christ—and we make our case before him. And we’ve gone to all the trouble of supporting ourselves so that we won’t be in the way or get in the way of your growing up.”
